Porsche Club Championship title goes down to the wire

The Fuel Protect Porsche Club Championship with Pirelli concludes at Croft this Saturday.

The Fuel Protect Porsche Club Championship with Pirelli season comes to a close this Saturday at Croft in North Yorkshire with the title still up for grabs and ample points on offer. Reigning champion Pete Morris looked to have the title in his grasp but an off in race one at Oulton Park two weeks ago dented his hopes and let the chasing pack close in.

Morris has claimed five wins in his Strasse 996 C2, but it was his consistent run of podium finishes that was seeing him pile up the points, and when he could only claim fifth in the second race at Oulton in his repaired car then the door was open for his rivals.

Twelve races into the season and dropped scores now come into play, and on pure points scored so far Morris has a lead of 29-points over Class Two pacesetter Jonathan Evans, with Tim Speed just three points further back.

Tickets are available on the gate, priced at just £13 with free entry for children aged 15 and under. Qualifying is at 09.50, with races at 14.00 and 16.40. Find out more information here.
