Starting at Bowcliffe Hall for a hearty breakfast, this route takes you through some of Yorkshire’s most picturesque villages. You will drive through moorland, along rivers and reservoirs and over the quirky Aldwark Toll Bridge - it’s worth noting that it’s so old fashioned that you can’t just ‘pay to pass’ - physical tickets must be brought in advance!
Continuing through the Yorkshire Dales and through more historic villages, with twisty roads and dramatic countryside, via The Lion at Blakey Ridge for lunch, you will then head to Pateley Bridge before arriving at the Yorke Arms for one of the most memorable dining experiences in the UK.
