Does anyone have a picture of the Front sill

I recently bought a project 1990 944 which had received substantial damage to the front of the left hand sill.
It looks like the car has been driven over a curb and the sill has been slammed from below ....crushing both the sill and lower front wing completely out of shape.
Has anyone got a photo of the front section of the sill to help me visualise what I need to do fabricate a replacement part.

hopefully???
I guess it must be ....although there is nothing left of my sill that I can compare it with .
What I really need is a picture of it on a car so that I can see where and how the sill ends and is closed off behind the front lower wing section.
Surprisingly enough there doesn't seem to be a single picture anywhere on the Net that I can find. All the repairs are of the rear lower sill and suspension mount repair.
Thanks for posting .:)

ah ha !... I think i have solved it with the help of the part number on your sill.

I looked up the part No and can see that it is the door sill section . It shows that the sill closes at the front just past the A post and doesn't extend further under the front wing....

That presumably means that the piece beyond the A post at the front is simply made of the lower section of the front wing .
If this is the case It is not structural and doesn't form part of the MOT test .
I have seen lower wing repair panels from classic car parts and panels which will repair the lower wing .
Thank you for posting the image ...much appreciated

No problem - I have that area of the car in bits well actually most of the car is in bits so if you need any more let me know,
I used the classic parts lower wing section - it does take a lot of work to get it right it doesn’t match the concave curve of the wing correctly but I haven’t found anything better except 2K for a new Porsche Part

just found this image from part of a youtube video which shows exactly how the door sill fits and is finished beyond the A post.

I have just repaired the rear lower wings and sills around the suspension mounts which was a bit of a mare . I wasn't looking forward to repairing the front as it looked like a lot of fabricating and welding but now thankfully I feel a little less worried.
I'll open up the lower wing and see what I need to fix near the A post.

Good luck with your project. 944 front NS lower wing sill damage.JPG
