Following the success of our Scottish Distillery visit, we are pleased to offer a similar event in the Midlands. Come and join us on the 16th of December 2023 for a drive and visit to the award-winning Cotswold Distillery.
We will meet at Porsche Centre Solihull for coffee, croissants, and a chat, then we’ll set off in convoy to The Cotswold Distillery in Stourton. There, you’ll be treated to one of their award-winning Tour & Tastings! The tour begins with a short video which highlights the Cotswolds Distillery story and traditional production methods. Shortly after, you’ll be taken around the distillery and cask warehouse, whilst giving you a detailed account of how they craft their award-winning spirits. You’ll be able to see (and smell!) the processes in action. At the end of the tour, if you are not the driver, you'll get to sample the range of spirits and liqueurs.
We will then enjoy lunch at the distillery, with the opportunity to chat and socialise, before making our way home.
The Cotswolds Distillery shop will also give you an ideal opportunity to stock up on last minute Christmas gifts for friends and family.
With EV range a concern for many, this trip has been specifically tailored for Taycan drivers to ensure as little range/infrastructure-anxiety as possible, while still being able to enjoy a spirited drive in the Cotswold’s. As this event is midlands based, should any Taycan drivers wish to travel from further afield, please email us at taycan@porscheclubgb.com and we will recommend one or two nice places to stay.
For EV charging, OPC Solihull has two 350kw super-chargers available. Also, less than a mile from OPC Solihull there are several 50kw chargers, plus a few slower charging points. The Cotswold distillery also has a couple of 7kw untethered charging points, subject to availability, with nearby Banbury also benefiting from varied kw/h charging points.
We’ve tried to plan the event with a suitable charging infrastructure, so everyone can relax & simply enjoy the drive. Whilst we do love our Taycans, you are of course welcome to bring any other Porsche you own.
The planned route from OPC Solihull to the Cotswold Distillery is approximately 40 miles.
The cost of the tour including lunch is £40.00 per person. Please book early as there is a maximum of 18 places available.
Itinerary is as follows:
8:30 – 09:00 – Meet Porsche Centre Solihull for coffee, croissants, and chat.
09:15 – Depart Porsche Centre Solihull.
10:30 – Arrive Cotswold Distillery for a private group tour around the distillery.
12:30 – Lunch and refreshments on the stunning Mezzanines at the Cotswold Distillery.
14:00 – Depart.
