If you’re ever had the good fortune to clock Mrs Tanya Lewis in her Koenigsegg Regera en route to a spot of shopping in Churt, you are no doubt fully au fait with one of R19’s most popular calendar stalwarts: The Phyllis Tuckwell Motor Show on the 3 August from 9am. The event will run all day but you can leave whenever you wish.
Hosted by the aforementioned Mrs Lewis and her splendid husband (and fellow car-nut) Robert, you will be amazed and delighted by the extraordinary machines of all types in their private car collection.
Our superb hosts are generous (and possibly mad enough) to open up their home and extensive grounds and invite hundreds of fellow car enthusiasts from Region 19 and many other clubs (albeit with their inferior marques … 😉) to show off their thoroughbred chariots and have a wonderful day out.
It’s a tyre-kicker's and car-spotter's dream… where you’ll get to see some really gorgeous machinery. There’s plenty to see, do, eat, drink and sit on, so a full day of full-on autophilia is guaranteed - with the icing on the cake that all proceeds go to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham.
Tickets are a mere snip at £25.00 per car, considerably better value and immeasurably more enjoyable than a dreary theme park near you. Book early to avoid certain disappointment.
