Just following up on the ‘Brooklands Not Xmas Bash’ on the 1st February at 12.30 hours.  Those that have pre-booked (and those still tempted) will be delighted to hear that we’ve now negotiated a sizeable price-drop from £63.00 to £48.00 per head. And we still have some places left for the uptake.

Fear not though, you’ve still full access to their museum and other attractions in that price. So, get yourselves along for a great time and support the club’s charitable cause.
We’ve included the event details below and will arrange partial refunds for those who have already booked and paid the higher price. There’s also a reminder below of Brooklands’ finest fare.

It goes, of course, without saying that an atmosphere of typical R19 conviviality will be on tap where you can see old friends, meet new ones and talk longingly about future road trips stretching into the sunnier months ahead.

Beyond the afternoon’s repartee, good cheer and excellent grub you’ve got access to the afore mentioned museum as well as a spiffing raffle with some rather cool Porsche prizes.
All proceeds go to our long-term charity, Thames Valley Air Ambulance. So, if you need to be air-lifted out by the end of the evening due to mistaking your brake for the accelerator consider your raffle tickets money well spent.

You can even pop along early (when Brooklands opens at 10.00 am) to have a mooch around prior to the gastronomic main event at 12:30. We’ll request your choices a little closer to the time but we’ve included the menu below for your consideration.

STARTERS:

  • Home cured chalk stream trout, beetroot potato salad, beetroot pearls.
  • Winter salad of roasted carrot, red onion & butternut squash, with toasted seeds & honey balsamic dressing.
 
MAIN COURSE:
  • Ale braised beef cheek, roasted new potatoes, glazed rainbow carrots, ale beef reduction.
  • Pan-fried chicken supreme, Parmenter potatoes, sweet potato puree, green beans, pan gravy.
  • Lentil & cranberry stuffed roasted butternut, potato fondant, cavolo nero, red pepper emulsion.
 
DESSERTS:
  • Cranberry & white chocolate bread & butter pudding, vanilla ice cream.
  • Apple & blackberry crumble, crème anglaise.
  • Winter berry Eton Mess.

All of this for the princely sum of £48.00 per head, excluding drinkie-poos. What a bargain.
