The 944 Register invites all transaxle owners you to get your Porsches out for an early season meeting at Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre on Sunday 8 March from 10.30am.
It is a family orientated historic transport centre, based on some old railway yards, housing model railways, narrow gauge and standard gauge railways and buses, with a café, located just south of Nottingham in the village of Ruddington (NG11 6JS). What is actually running on the day is a bit weather dependant, but there will be some interesting things to see and it is attached to a country park with great walks, long and short.
It is a continuation meeting in line with the 10 944 meets we had at Rutland Water pre Covid and those at Cattows Farm and The Great British Car Journey subsequently.
Cost will be £3 for parking, payable on the day (cash would be preferred, but not essential) plus anything you can’t resist in the café… and you never know what you’ll learn from others!
All Porsche Transaxles are welcomed 924, 924 Carrera GT, 928, 944 and 968, from the most road-worn examples to concours, so don’t let the state of your project stop you! While no booking is required, it would be helpful to have an idea of numbers expected, so please register your interest using the link at the bottom of this page.
Drive Out
I will be leaving Leicester (Tim Hortons / Sainsburys Grove Farm Triangle LE19 1WT) at 9:30am if anyone wants an easy drive up there in company. If you intend to join me here, please drop me an email at 944@porscheclubgb.com
So please come along for a coffee, a chat and a drive out. As you can see below, I went to one of their regular car meets (first Sunday of the month) in January in the snow, roof down all day (30 miles each way for me), so there’s no excuse!
