2018 Pembrey Track Day
On a crispy sunny Sunday, 13 Porsche cars of various models ranging from 911& 911 RS, GT3, GT4, Boxters & Boxter Spider, Caymans took part in our annual track day at Pembrey Dyfed.
We were joined by other vehicles made up of
Audi R8 V10
Cateram 7, plus 2 other kit cars.
TR7 V8 hillclimb car
Clio race car
Mazda MX5 race car
309 rally car
In total there approximately 23 cars took part.
It was the first time for some of our members to participate in a track day, from Daniel Valla, (Haitham Al-Ubaidi & Alan Foley to name a few. They all seem to have enjoyed themselves. and could not get over how little traffic was circulating the circuit at times.

On a Wet January Sunday morning, 30 cars and 60 guests turned up for the Mumbles Drive. This was one of the best turnout of members we have experienced. The drive took us to Llangenith and Hill caravan Park for coffee. The owners had opened especially for us.
From there, we followed a route towards Mumbles and to Braclet Bay and Castllemare Italian restaurant for a lovely lunch
I would like to thank Mr Douglas Wells in organising the route.
Luckily, the snow kept away and 16 cars came along for our end of the year drive. Although plenty of mud on the road, but a good feedback was received from all. We finished off at the Metropole at Llandrindod where we were welcome with hot soup and sandwiches.

Congratulations to John Owen from West Wales who recently picked up a GT3 991.2 and a Panemera Turismo Hybrid from Porsche centre Cardiff.

A lovely Sunday morning drive through the South Wales Valleys ending up at Paul Howells Royal Lodge for lunch. After lunch, some of us went to see Paul Howells collection of Porsche track cars. This was a an interesting visit and we must give praise to Paul on his dedication and engineering skills in preparing these cars for track days and hill climbs.
2017 Bank holiday drive.
A good turn out of 26 cars with almost 50 of members and guests, enjoying a sunny drive of the Wye Valley followed by lunch at the Anchor Inn Tintern Abbey.
I would like to thank club member Mr Roger Pearce for his assistance in this run.
Twenty members gathered to Shobdon airfield in Herefordshire for a lovely afternoon talk and tour of the airfield and how it was used during the war as a glider base. We welcomed two members from other regions , Mr John Lord of R13 who started the glider club there many years ago, and to Mr Alan Hawkins of R31 who's father used to fly from there.
40 members gathered for a Sunday tour of this beautiful part of the country. The drive was followed by an excellent meal at the Wolfscastle Hotel

Region’s weekend of the year.
This was held the weekend 23rd to 25th June at the Metropole Hotel Llandrindod Wells.
The owner Justin Baird-Murray and his staff looked after us exceptionally well, a big thanks to Justin and his staff for their support.

24 members attended the Morgan factory tour on the 12th May. The visit was very interesting and showed the old fashion skills being employed today. The gallery show's the various stages of the car build process.
