Powis Castle visit

29 September 2019

Powis Castle is a medieval castle, fortress and grand country mansion near Welshpool, in Powys, Wales. It is known for housing the treasures that were brought home by Robert Clive and his son, Edward Clive from India.

We will meet at the Honey Cafe at Bronllys at 10am before heading off at 11am for the 90-minute drive to Powis Castle. Arriving there at 12.30pm we will have dedicated parking allocated to us. The Castle closes at 4pm.

As well as the Castle itself to visit, there are magnificent gardens and parkland to walk around. This is a National Trust property and so Trust members will have free access to the property, but it is anticipated that non-members will have group access rates of £12pp (instead of £15).

There is a cafe and restaurant on site. To provide an idea of numbers attending, it would be great if you can let me know by email on r14@porscheclubgb.com by Monday 23 September that you are joining us.
