We had a good turnout for our visit to the motor museum before it closes at the end of the month. We had a staggered arrival mainly due to lack of parking due to the food festival taking most of both car parks spaces. Sorry I failed to pick up on that. The museum had a fabulous collection of cars packed closely together over 2 floors ranging from a lovely old Rolls through to a 1960’s Mini, but the one I’d take home was a genuine original Jag XK. The museum provided a very interesting way to spend a couple of hours with not only cars but also a fabulous collection of old Motor Bikes with names from the past, Royal Enfield, Velocette, BSA etc. It is such a shame it is to close with most of the collection to be auctioned. A small number of us then adjourned to the White Hart for lunch, well worth a last visit.
Some photos for those that didn’t manage to make it.
