The Dorset Region (R26) covers Dorset and part of Somerset and Wiltshire. We're very active with a programme of events covering a broad range of interests. Members in our region drive all kinds of Porsches of all ages including 356, classic 911s, 924s, 944s, 968s, modern 911s, Boxsters, Caymans as well as Cayennes and Macans.
Our region has some of the country's most renowned heritage locations such as the Jurassic coast, glorious scenery, not to mention country pubs located in historical villages and other picturesque venues for events and meetings. Our area offers a myriad of possibilities for events such as Concours, Karting, Heritage railway, Ancient castles, National Trust sites and not least the world famous coastal activities at Poole and Weymouth. The Porsche Centre Bournemouth who is an active contributor to many of our events is located within our region as are other reputable independent Porsche specialists such as Marque 21.
We currently meet on the third Thursday of each month at The George Albert Hotel, Evershot a friendly venue on the A37, half-way between Yeovil to Dorchester, offering full facilities including dedicated meeting rooms. Generally, our monthly get-together begins with a meal or bar snack around 19:00 with the main event starting at 20:00. Topics range from general gassing about Porsches, planning events and trips out, exchanging technical advice and ownership information, general Club business and anything that members want to talk about. From time to time, we invite guest speakers to talk on various subjects of interest to Porsche drivers. Our busy events programme includes numerous drive outs and visits to interesting places throughout the year.
