R19 Norway Road Trip

When travelling across the Channel, we normally turn southward when we get to Calais and head for the Mediterranean. This neglects the fact that our Scandinavian neighbours have spectacular countries to visit, uncluttered roads with breathtaking vistas and hospitable people.  Given the increasingly congested roads in the annual summer migration, we think Norway will be a breath of fresh air for the inveterate road-tripper.  This is what awaits you on this trip.

Our Scandi-adventure starts at the Hotel Scandic Aalborg Øst (Denmark) on 13^th of June 2026. This venue is both our starting point and our finishing point on the 24^th of June.

To get to Hotel Scandic Aalborg Øst in Denmark for the start, you’ll have around 750 miles to cover from Dover, so some of you may wish to break this journey with an overnight stop along the way and we have assumed this in the costings.  Of course, you could take more time travelling to Denmark if you wish, it’s up to you.  You just need to be there for the 13^th of June.
