Ever popped into your local friendly Porsche Centre for a MOT to be ‘advised’ your manifold and exhaust fasteners are showing signs of corrosion? Ever wandered underneath your car on a ramp and thought it looked decidedly less shiny than its bodywork? Then you might like what R19 has lined up at JTEK.
Some members are more fastidious about their car’s maintenance than others, but most of us at some time or another have questioned whether we should take the car out in filthy weather to avoid further gunge accumulating on the car’s underside. Well, JTEK can now remove that built up dirt and grease with ‘dry ice cleaning’. Dry what?!
Soft CO2 particles are blown into every nook and cranny where they immediately turn from solid to gas. This process of ‘sublimation’ or thermal shock is instant and loosens dirt and corrosion in a far more sympathetic way than the traditional steam clean. It’s all rather clever. Combined with new sealing treatments you can ensure your car is as pretty (and reliable) underneath as it is on top.
JTEK will demonstrate the process on one of our cars on Saturday 15 July. So, you’ll be able to see the ‘before and after’ before your very eyes. We kick off at 10.30am with tea and coffee on offer as well as the usual amenities. We only have 20 slots, so bash R19’s Big Booking Button below as quickly as possible, but only if you can make it on the day, otherwise you are preventing someone else from enjoying the experience.
