Starting and finishing at Mollie’s Diner on the A420 near Buckland, we’ll be running a long-distance early morning social run for members on the Sunday 21st June on the longest day of the year.
We'll meet at 03:30 before heading off at 04:00 in a generally Westward direction. We plan to drive across to the Somerset coast before heading down to the Dorset coast and end up at Boscombe for lunch.
Details of the event are:
Start point: Mollie’s Diner (51.6757868,-1.4963964)
Depart: 04:00am prompt from car park
Destination: Boscombe, Dorset
Distance: c.250 miles (approx)
Time: six - eight hours (approx)
Places available: Limited to 20 cars maximum.
This social run will involve a long distance early morning journey across Wessex to the Somerset and Dorset coasts. As participants will need to negotiate rural and semi-rural roads over a long distance it is strongly advised that all drivers are accompanied by someone to help navigate and to share driving duties. A recommended driving route will be finalised and published in late May.
Please are limited. If you wish to participate please send an email to the R31 Regional Organiser before Friday 12 June at the absolute latest.
* Where route information is provided it is for guidance only and is included to help you get to the destination safely, easily and enjoyably. It is not necessarily the shortest route... (PS They made us say this). The actual 'suggested' route will be confirmed on the day.
