Cotswold Region will again be displaying at Bicester Heritage's Sunday Brunch Scramble meet on Sunday 22nd April (09:00 - 16:00). This highly popular event is open to ALL Porsche owners to display their vehicles in a dedicated Porsche display area. Members from other regions and non-members are welcome to join us.
Located close the M40, Bicester Heritage is the UK’s first park for the restoration, storage and enjoyment of vintage and classic cars, motorcycles and aeroplanes all set in 348 acres of a historic 1920s RAF bomber station. This time, the event runs alongside The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs’ 'Drive It Day' so it will be very well supported, with over 1200 cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles, as well as historic aeroplanes, expected to be on display. Last year, there were well over 200 Porsches, of all types, on display along 'Porsche Avenue'.
As well as looking at the many vehicle displays, visitors will also be the oportunity to look at the various workshops around the site and visit the many trade stalls. As the name suggests hearty cooked breakfasts and drinks will be available during the event at various food stalls across the site. Advance adult tickets for registered Club members purchased online are £4.00 per person (plus £0.64 booking fee), children under 16 are free (when accompanied by an adult ticket holder). We recommend booking online in advance as tickets purchased on the gate on the day will be £8.00 per person.
As before, we’ll be displaying within a dedicated Porsche display area (alongside TIPEC and 924 Club members) with enough space for over 200 cars. On arrival you'll be directed to our location (look out for the Club flags and marshals). Please aim to arrive at BH before 09:30 to ensure you get a space within our alloted display area.
If you'd like to attend, tickets are available online from the Bicester Heritage online ticket booking service. The booking service accepts VISA, Mastercard and Amex payments. You can buy tickets on the gate on the day but it costs more and takes extra time.
To buy reduced rate tickets you'll need to click on the ‘Enter Promotional Code’ link at the top of the booking service webpage in the ‘Tickets’ block and input the display area discount code ‘PORSCHE418’. The correct option will then be visible for you to select and purchase your ticket(s). This special discount, which is only available until midnight Sunday 15th April 2018 (after that you’ll have to pay on the gate as you enter), not only enables you to purchase discounted tickets but also helps the organisers allocate and mark out the right amount of space for the Porsche display area.
For your information, Bicester Heritage is located at the old RAF Bicester base on the North side of the town (view location on Google Maps). If you're using a Sat Nav, you should enter the postcode 'OX26 5HA' to find the correct geo-location for BH. The exact location of the Porsche display area is 51°54'59.0"N 1°08'16.4"W.
Tickets only permit entry and don't guarantee a specific parking location. To maintain the spirit of the event, priority will be given to Porsche 2-seater and 2+2 classic, sports and performance cars for parking in the display area. Depending upon space available, SUVs/other models i.e. Cayennes, Macans and Panameras may be required to park in the visitor parking area. In all cases, entry and parking will be at the discretion of the organisers and marshals.
