ALWAYS TAKE A PHOTO!
I had a Taycan loan car while my GT4 was in for service; Unfortunately, I got a puncture in the near side front tyre. Following advice from the Porsche Centre, I called Porsche Assist (PA) to recover the car back to the Centre.
Some four and half hours later the PA recovery truck arrived, but as the centre was now closed, I was advised they would take the Taycan back to their compound and deliver it the following morning to the Porsche centre.
However, the next day I received an email from the Porsche Centre with images showing considerable damage to the front lip and carbon diffuser and asking me to complete an accident form. Fortunately, I had taken pictures of the Taycan being loaded onto the transporter and they clearly showed no damage at all apart from the flat tyre.
This shows how important it is when handing over a car to a third party to take pictures as your insurance/proof of condition. (Ashley)
MOVING HOUSE
Moving house in July presented the perfect opportunity to tackle a project I’d been dreaming about for years: transforming my garage into a proper automotive sanctuary.
After making space by replacing an old boiler with something smaller, the concrete floor was my next target. I wanted something aesthetically pleasing that would go the distance. Enter Duramat. After considerable research into tiled garage flooring, I settled on their ‘Garage Mix’ pack—complete with four individual Porsche logo tiles (naturally). Even better, they offer a discount code in the members’ offer section of the PCGB site. Installation proved refreshingly straightforward: armed with little more than a jigsaw and rubber mallet and guided by their helpful YouTube tutorial I had the entire floor laid in roughly 90 minutes.

Phil’s garage floor really ups the Porsche storage game!
The results? Absolutely worth it. The raised edges act as an effective barrier against autumn leaves, and the surface wipes clean effortlessly. It’s the kind of mini project that delivers maximum visual impact with minimal fuss—perfect for anyone looking to elevate their garage game before spring arrives. (Phil)
