We have been invited to join the Porsche Club Nürburgring for their 60th anniversary celebrations on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June 2020. Other Regions are considering attending this event and if that is the case we would plan to join them for some if not all of the trip. Please click on the links below for further information.
Porsche Club Nürburgring has already sold over 250 of the 500 tickets available but has set some aside for our region. Three Porsches and six PCGB members have already signed up so we will be booking this events very soon.
All that is required meantime is to note interest and I will keep you updated at every stage.
The basic itinerary that remains flexible is as follows:
Thursday 25 June: Drive to Newcastle and board the 5pm overnight ferry for the sailing to Amsterdam. For ferry info and booking click here.
Friday 26 June: Arrive Amsterdam and drive to the Nürburgring. A scenic drive will be planned with a possible visit to SPA Circuit. Settle into hotel. Dinner at the famous Pistenklause restaurant, Tiergarten Hotel, Nürburg. For website click here.
Saturday 27 June: 60 years celebrations event. For event info click here.

Sunday 28 June: The Nordschleife will be open for a public day with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive some laps of the Green Hell. For website click here.
Monday 29 June: Check out of hotel. Drive to Amsterdam and board the 5.30pm overnight ferry to Newcastle. For ferry info and booking click here.
Tuesday 30 June: Arrive Newcastle and drive home.
Hotels:
We will be staying at either the Dorint Hotel or Lindner Hotel, next to the Nürburgring GP Circuit. Once event tickets have been purchased a Hotel Code will be given to allow booking.

Costs:
Ferry: Circa £540 return for car, driver, passenger and evening meals in an inside cabin.
Hotel: Circa 150 Euros for double room; 110 Euros for single room. Rate is B&B per night.
Entry to 60 years event, both days with hospitality: 350 Euros for a car and driver, Passengers are 150 Euros. Total 500 Euros per couple and car.
Fuel and food: Circa £250.
Total for car, driver and passenger: Approx £1600.
Nürburgring tourist laps: 30 Euros per lap.
