The trip will take in some early morning driving into the Borders from Dreghorn Services EH13 9QR, Edinburgh, taking coffee at Soutra Coffee House EH37 5TF (where you can also join the group if you prefer), drive to Floors Castle TD5 7FS, enjoy the Castle, the grounds but also the Great British Food Festival (for lunch) which is at Floors over the weekend. Depending on interest on the day we can then organise a coordinated run back to the central belt.

Take A720 east to A68 junction - 7.2 miles.
Take A68 south to Soutra Coffee House at bottom of Soutra Hill, on the left - 10.2 miles.
Drive to Floors Castle, map here.
Take A68 south from Soutra.
Take first exit left at Carfraemill roundabout on to A697 - 6 miles.
Take right on to A6089 to Gordon - 7.6 miles.
Turn left in Gordon on to A6105 - 4.8 miles.
Rejoin A697 at Greenlaw - turn right - 4.6 miles.
At A698 junction turn right to Kelso - 8.7 miles.
At Kelso follow signs to Floors Castle.
There will be a £5 fee to pay at the entrance to the Castle and we are attempting to secure dedicated parking and will let you know on the day.
