At the end of January, during a break in the awful weather in the northeast of Scotland, our Region held its first event of the year. A Burns Breakfast to celebrate the Scottish Bard was held at the Rothesay Rooms in Ballater. Formerly the Royal railway station for visitors to Balmoral Castle, it features a Victorian railway carriage, a Royal waiting room and even a Victorian toilet! Our breakfast had a Scottish theme which featured haggis prominently!
