April 23 Sunday Run - Fife Tour

A tour of the Kingdom of Fife

On April 23 we had a Sunday Run tour of Fife, along a route suggested by John Hunter. We met at the Newport-on-Tay Car Park at the south end of the Tay Bridge. The sun was out and the location gave us great views of the Firth of Tay and across to Dundee. Plenty of room to park despite a large gathering of Harley Davidson Club riders out on Drive-It Day - what a spectacular sight!

Our route took us under the bridge and along the north coast of Fife as far as Newburgh before heading south east to cross the Kingdom via some interesting roads through pretty villages like Collessie and Ceres, eventually reaching the Firth of Forth coast by Lower Largo. From here we continued via Kilconquhar, through St. Monans & Pittenweem to Anstruther.

The full route can be found on our Resources Page.

Lunch was at Rockies Restaurant at Anstruther Golf Club which has stunning views across the Firth to the Isle of May and Bass Rock. The food and service was great too!
