Evening Visit to RNLI Station in Aberdeen

Our frinds from the Aberdeen RNLI Station at Victoria Dock have kindly invited us to visit their premises at 6:30pm on the evening of Thursday 14 May when we hope for a warm bright evening, and the lifeboat isn't on a call out!

There is a strict limit of 20 people and because of this we request that this event is restricted to PCGB club members only.   We trust you understand and agree this is only fair.

The invitation states "Visits normally last 2 hours and start with a welcome and introductory talk, after which the group is split in two with one going down to the pontoon to go aboard 'Bon Accord' whilst the other group looks round 'Buoy Woody - 85N' in the shed.  The groups then swap round.  Both are guided by Crew who are always delighted to explain anything and everything about the boats.  We then all meet back in the Lifeboat Station Crewroom for tea/coffee and a bite to eat.  Photos are welcome.

Three little notes:  Lifejackets have to be worn when going down to the pontoon (we provide these); the Crewroom is upstairs and unfortunately there is no lift in the building; we ask that warm clothing including trousers and also flat shoes be worn as there is always a breeze at the water's edge and a bit of climbing on/off boats."

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis as each booking receives a time stamp.

The address is:
