Glamis Transport Extravaganza 2020

UPDATE - unfortunaltey the organisers of Glamis Transport Extravaganza have decided to cancell the 2020 event. If this changes we will be in touch.

Please note: This event is now fully booked, however there is a reserve list for who are interested but have not managed to secure a place.

Join the Porsche Club GB stand at the 46th Annual Glamis Transport Extravaganza, on the weekend of 11 - 12 July.

Please read all the details carefully below, as entry is time limited so please book as soon as possible.
Keep reading for details on how to book.

The Glamis Extravaganza is - in our opinion - one of the best car shows in Scotland. Set in the idyllic grounds of Glamis castle, it attracts well over 1000 interesting vehicles of all ages, from 110 year old veterans to split new supercars.

Entry to this event is only £5 and this includes entry for you, one passenger, and your car for both days. This represents a massive saving over the public rate. Extra tickets can be purchased on the day for any further passengers.

Attendance on both days in not mandatory - you can do one or both days. If choosing to only come on one day, then Sunday is the day to aim for because this is usually the bigger of the two days.

There is lots to keep everybody entertained over the whole day, with numerous attractions all day in the main ring, craft tents, general stalls/markets, food halls, car related merchandise, and an autojumble.

We have also invited R2's friends in the Scotland Area of the Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain to join in with us to make a joint stand - they wouldn't usually have enough cars to justify a stand so joining in with us makes it viable for them.

R2 will have a gazebo up as a main base - including a barbeque - members are encouranged to bring their own chairs and perhaps a food donation for the barbeque. The second weekend in July usually has excellent weather and makes for an enjoyable weekend lounging in the sun, looking at stunning cars and chatting with friends old and new.

For those coming from further away, there are many small hotels and B&Bs in the local area.  Additionally, camping is available at Glamis at a small extra cost to those who wish. Please mention when you contact us if you need a camping pitch or if you need help finding a local hotel.

R2 will initially cover the £5 entry fee per car up front from the Regional budget, and we will then collect the £5 entry fee from members on the day so that there is no hassle making payments in advance.

Space for this event fills up fast, so we need to get our club entry form in as soon as possible to secure a good pitch. With this in mind, please let us know if you intend to come along by the Sunday 1 March.

If you are unsure if you can come or not - book anyway, and if you have to cancel at a later stage we may be able to give the slot to another member which will avoid it costing you anything.
