Blood Bikes

For our next Club night on Wednesday 11 March, we are delighted to welcome a speaker from the Merseyside and Cheshire Region of Blood Bikes.

Venue: Wilmslow Rugby Club, Memorial Ground, King’s Road, Wilmslow SK9 5PZ from 7pm.

Our speaker is one of a dedicated group of volunteers from Merseyside and Cheshire, formed in 2012, who will fascinate us by explaining how Blood Bikes makes such a difference to our local NHS.

The aim of our local Blood Bikes group is to save our NHS money by providing FREE emergency transport of urgently needed blood, donor breast milk, drugs, human tissues and other medical requirements between hospitals, hospices, blood transfusion units and blood banks primarily but not exclusively in the North West.

Many group members are motorcyclists, but they also have volunteers, controllers and fundraisers who don’t necessarily ride bikes.

This small army of loyal volunteers needs your support to help them achieve their goal. We will be arranging a collection on the night to be donated to Blood Bikes. Please consider bringing cash for this extremely worthy cause.

With attendance expected to be high, we’d ask you to book in, on a first come, first served basis. Numbers are limited to 60 people.

There will be a selection of, chicken, beef and vegetarian food, the cost is £12.50 per attendee. Hot and cold drinks are of course available from the bar.
