14 January 2026

Peking to Paris

Region 5 are delighted to announce a special speaker meeting, when for this January’s clubnight we will be joined by Mike Pink, who last year expertly navigated Australian driver Matt Bryson in a 1973 Leyland P76 to a remarkable fourth victory in the Classic Category of one of the world’s greatest endurance rallies, the Peking to Paris Motor Challenge.

Mike who is a former PCGB R10 Regional Organiser and ongoing Porsche owner / enthusiast will excite us with tales of how the P76 narrowly beat a classic 911 into second place in 2024 in the event which is a unique test of human and mechanical resilience. Run over 37 days and 14,500 kms, it’s not just about speed: it’s about strategy, teamwork, and the ability to navigate through diverse and often challenging terrain.

For this special event there will be a change of location to Wilmslow Ruby Club, Memorial Ground, King's Road, Wilmslow, SK9 5PZ. The event starts at 7pm.

With attendance expected to be high, we’d ask you to book in, on a first come, first served basis. Numbers are limited to 60 people.

There will be a selection of, Chicken, Beef and Vegetarian food, the cost is £12.50 per attendee.  Hot and cold drinks are of course available from the bar.
