Beautiful day for R11’s cars and coffee event
CARS AND COFFEE
11 May dawned cold and misty but fortunately it soon became sunny and warm. Forty-four cars ventured out for cars and coffee at Thatchers Arms in Mount Bures, in beautiful rural Essex. We had a wide range of 911 variants, from a lovely red 1986 Supersport through to an amazing Amathysry 911 S/T, the first everyone in attendance had ever seen, plus a contingent of Caymans and Boxsters. It was also an unusual treat to see a trio of 928S4s. The R11 team hope you enjoyed the morning and the breakfasts and hot drinks.

HILTON & MOSS
Around 60 members enjoyed a visit on 4 April to Hilton & Moss on a lovely sunny Saturday morning to enjoy the hospitality provided by the team led by Nicole and Rob.
Hilton & Moss is a specialist restorer and, according to their website ‘synonymous with excellence in the world of classic and high-performance cars for over 40 years’ and offers ‘a comprehensive suite of services – restoration, servicing, sales, and storage – for clients across the globe.’
Some time was spent drooling over the stunning cars for sale from marques such as Aston Martins, Mercedes, Lotus and Jaguar and much fun was had watching members trying to get in and out of a Lotus Exige.

After viewing the showroom, we were then taken around the facilities such as the very impressive storage area, the workshop and restoration areas, followed by bacon and sausage rolls, which were very well received.
