December news

This month's news from your Lincolnshire & Humberside Region

LOOKING TOWARDS THE FUTURE
Almost another year has gone by and now we need to look at how we collectively can ensure 2025 caters for all our R4 members. On 7 December, at our annual planning meeting, the future ‘outline’ programme of events will be discussed. Our fully inclusive aims will be to ensure our events and meetings reach all areas of the R4 community. Part of that aim will be by the setting up of small teams or ‘hubs’ for activities, such as trackdays, drive outs, social events and digital communications etc. This will enable teams to focus on particular activities, rather than everything being on the shoulders of one or two people.

With some 360 Regional members spread over a vast geographical area, the focus on engaging with everyone is important. It is hoped that the hubs will be able to fulfil this.

We also need to look back at our last 12 months. The loss of our dear friend Jacques after his fight against MND came as a shock for us all, even more for all his family. Jacques was a lovely man whose friendliness and hard work influenced many in R4.

Despite not having the best of dry weather this year, we still managed to enjoy some memorable events. To name a few, the R4 Bowling Challenge Shield, Valentine Sunday lunch with roses for everyone, Indian buffet, Porsches on the Prom at Bridlington for RNLI, Jacques’ memorial drive to North Yorkshire, ice cream at Appleby’s, our weekend in Northumbria (very wet but fun) and numerous drive outs with people getting lost! Overall, a good time for all those who joined in.

May 2025 be even more enjoyable with plenty of social get-togethers and memorable driving experiences in our super cars.
