R8 have extended their invitation to ourselves and describe the event below:-
Every other year Chartwell of Derby a very prestigious car body body/accident repairers, Porsche approved as well as many other top end manufacturers, kindly open their very modern and very extensive workshops for R8 as an open day from 10am until 2pm.
They always have displays, exhibits, things to do, new techniques, cars in the process of repair etc. to show off to us. Even partners with sometimes less enthusiasm enjoy the day, youngsters are bowled over by the often exotic cars and activities.
This year they are having a display of about 6 current Porsche race cars including 2 representing Porsche Centre Leicester and Porsche Centre Nottingham in the national competition (condition and racing) they are responsible for these body wise and they should be in as new condition.(can't say that about the used race cars!)
They always put on refreshments and a top notch buffet, usually about 60 members attend, Chartwell are very happy to cater for many more, members from your regions have attended in the past so I would like to formally invite you all.
The premises are easy to find near the Derby Football ground and the impressive velodrome, very safe parking.
