Saturday 25 Nov 2023 should have been just another Hockey cup game. However, that morning was very cold and when I arrived at the king Edward VII College Coalville, the pitch was mostly frozen. There were a good many players still warming up therefore, I put on my base layer’s undershirt, full body armour and a couple of extra goalkeeping tops, seeing it was so cold.
