Porsche Reveals the Earls Court 51 Edition

Inspired by the Porsche 356 shown at Earls Court in 1951, it pairs heritage with GT3 performance

Porsche Cars GB has revealed a remarkable new limited-edition model to celebrate 75 years since the first Porsche arrived in the United Kingdom. The new Porsche 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition will make its world premiere at Icons of Porsche, Sunstede Silverstone Edition, taking place on 20–21 June.

Created in partnership with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Stuttgart, just 51 examples of the special model will be produced. Based on the acclaimed 911 GT3 with Touring Package, the Earls Court 51 Edition draws inspiration from the Porsche 356 Coupés displayed at the 1951 Earls Court Motor Show – the event that introduced the Porsche brand to British enthusiasts.

Finished in a bespoke Paint to Sample Plus colour named Earls Court Green metallic, the car pays homage to one of the original 356 models shown in London 75 years ago, while also reflecting the British racing green hues synonymous with the era. The theme continues inside with a beautifully crafted Night Green and Chalk Beige leather interior, featuring heritage-inspired corduroy trim, Paldao wood detailing and a host of bespoke design touches unique to the edition.

The project brief centred on four key principles: creating a clear link to the original 356, prioritising driver engagement through a manual transmission, celebrating Porsche heritage through contemporary design, and aligning the model with the accompanying restoration of a 1951 Porsche 356.

Alongside the launch of the new GT3, visitors to Sunstede will also be able to view a stunning Factory Recommissioned 1951 Porsche 356. Restored by the Manufaktur Sonderwunsch Classic team in Germany, the historic car has been refinished in matching Earls Court Green metallic and features several design elements that directly inspired the new limited-edition 911.

Powered by Porsche's naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six engine producing 510 PS, the GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition combines classic inspiration with modern performance. Available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or PDK transmission, the manual version accelerates from 0–62 mph in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 194 mph.

Each car is priced from £251,951 and comes complete with a bespoke Porsche Design Chronograph, matching leather Weekender bag, 1:18 scale model and a commemorative book documenting the development of the project.

The unveiling of the 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition is set to be one of the highlights of the Sunstede Silverstone Edition weekend, celebrating Porsche's rich heritage in the UK while showcasing the craftsmanship and individualisation capabilities of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Sonderwunsch.
