As Porsche Club GB celebrates its 65th Anniversary, the Club is marking another significant milestone as the winner of its second annual Prize Draw, Jason Lello, has taken delivery of an exclusive Porsche 911 Carrera (992.2) from Porsche Centre Reading.
Having entered the draw with a single £25 ticket, Jason was selected at random to win the car, making for an unforgettable moment in the Club's anniversary year.
Building on the success of the inaugural Prize Draw, which saw one of the final Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 models delivered in the UK presented to its winner, this year's prize was chosen to celebrate both the latest evolution of Porsche's most iconic sports car and 65 years of Porsche Club GB.
Finished in GT Silver metallic, the prize 911 Carrera was carefully specified to create a timeless and distinctive example. The car features Carrera S alloy wheels, a black leather interior with contrasting GT Silver stitching, bespoke illuminated door sill guards engraved with 'PCGB 65th', and an exclusive Porsche Club GB 65th Anniversary grille badge. With a value of more than £125,000, the car represents a fitting centrepiece to the Club's anniversary celebrations.
On Thursday 23 July, Jason collected the keys to his new Porsche from Porsche Centre Reading, where he was presented with the car in front of family, representatives from Porsche Club GB and staff from Porsche Centre Reading.
Asking Jason about the prize draw experience he said:
“At the time of buying the ticket, I remember thinking there was very little chance of me winning. Firstly, I wasn't even a Porsche Club GB member, and secondly, I only bought a single entry. It's a real testament to the integrity of your draw process that literally anyone can win!”
“To be honest, I'd bought the ticket and then promptly forgotten all about it. So when I received the call from Ian and Carrie, I automatically assumed it was a scam. I'm still astounded it wasn't. In fact, it wasn't until I arrived at Porsche Reading that I fully believed it!”
After taking delivery of the car, Jason said:
“The entire handover experience was fantastic. Everyone involved, both from Porsche Club GB and Porsche Centre Reading made my daughter and me feel incredibly special”
“The whole process has been amazing, and that's before even mentioning the car itself. It's beautifully specified and has surpassed all my expectations dynamically.”
