Last call for Classics at the Castle

Get ready for our largest event of the year

We’re entering the home straight with just a week to go until Classics at the Castle, proudly sponsored by Lockton. Join us for a fabulous celebration of Porsche classics within the beautiful grounds of Hedingham Castle in Essex on Sunday, 15 September.

As well as the early air-cooled cars, the spectacular national event will be celebrating 50 years of the Porsche Turbo, 50 years of G-Model in the UK, and 25 years of the GT3 – all with dedicated display parking areas.

993 owners are in for a treat, with Tony Hatter attending as a special VIP guest. While Hatter is widely recognised as the lead designer of the 993, he was also a key figure in the design of multiple iconic Porsches including the 996 GT3, the 997 GT2 and the production model Carrera GT.

All Porsche owners and enthusiast are of course very much welcome at Classics at the Castle, with dedicated Porsche Parking in the “Water Garden” for water-cooled models, transaxles, SUVs and EVs.

Club Chair Nick Taylor says the greatly expanded Classics at the Castle will have a summer garden party atmosphere, with live music and a range of excellent food vendors. “Whatever you drive, join us at this beautiful venue where wonderful classic Porsches will be displayed against a magical backdrop”.

Simon Ambler, Head of Lockton Performance added: “We’re delighted to sponsor this year’s Classics at the Castle. As the Club’s only preferred insurance broker, it’s always a pleasure to attend events and meet members. Remember, whatever your Porsche, air-cooled or otherwise, Lockton will be happy to assist”

Our carefully selected range of technical demonstrations and workshops from expert Club associates such as Lockton will help ensure the best care – with the least time input – for your vehicle. If you have questions about the best cleaning and detailing techniques, the potential of sustainable fuels, how to choose and maintain PPF, the most suitable tyres and how to maximise their life, Classics at the Castle can answer all your questions in one location.
