Countdown to Classics at the Castle

Join us at Hedingham Castle in Essex this September for our biggest event of the year

We’re now just four weeks away from Classics at the Castle, which promises to be the largest gathering of Porsches and people in our 2024 Events Calendar. Taking place at Hedingham Castle in Essex on Sunday, 15 September, this year’s event will be a national celebration of key Porsche anniversaries.

Building on the highly regarded early air-cooled origins of the show, the latest reincarnation will embrace all air-cooled models, from the very first Porsche to roll off the production line in 1948 up until the end of 993 production in 1998.

All Porsche owners and enthusiast are of course very much welcome at Classics at the Castle, with dedicated Porsche Parking in the “Water Garden” for water-cooled models, transaxles, EVs and SUVs.

Visitors can look forward to seeing a spectacular display celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche Turbo surrounding the castle itself, a 50th anniversary display for the G Model 911 and of course a 25th anniversary display for the 911 GT3.

We’ll also be joined by special guest and legendary lead designer of the 993, Tony Hatter. As well as roaming the castle grounds and admiring all the air-cooled classics on display, Tony will be taking part in an informal Q&A offering insight into his 30 years as a designer for Porsche.

Tickets are priced at £20 per person for Porsche Club GB members or £25 per person for non-members, with free entry for children aged 16 and under.

Please use the links below to buy the correct ticket based on the type of Porsche you will be bringing to the event. For Porsche fans and enthusiasts who aren’t yet owners, please use the link for public parking.

Well behaved dogs on leads are allowed in the grounds, but not in the castle itself.

Another change for 2024 is the return of a dinner in the castle grounds on the evening before Classics at the Castle.

Indulge in an unforgettable evening that begins with exquisite De Vere Gin cocktails, crafted exclusively by the esteemed owners of Hedingham Castle. Savour an array of canapés before indulging in a three-course dinner, perfectly paired with fine wines. All the while, enjoy the enchanting ambiance of live background music, creating the perfect setting for a truly magical experience.

As well as an opportunity to relax with friends old and new, you will enjoy a ‘fireside chat’ between Tony Hatter and former Porsche Cars GB CEO, Geoff Turral. While Hatter is widely recognised as the lead designer of the 993, he was also a key figure in the design of multiple iconic Porsches including the 996 GT3, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the 997 GT2 and the production model Carrera GT.

Turral, an honorary Porsche Club member, was an early advocate of Classics at the Castle, providing encouragement and support from Porsche Cars GB, describing it as ‘the right event at the right time’.

A very limited number of public tickets are available for the dinner, which will be attended by a host of well-known figures from the world of classic Porsches.
