Over the last two months, Collecting Cars has found homes for nearly 100 Porsches around the world, including a trio of rare RS models in the UK, attracting strong bidding from enthusiasts.
Just 1,500 units of the 997.2 GT3 RS were built, and a superb example was listed on Collecting Cars in September. Specified in a Carrara White with vibrant red detailing for the wheels, decals and door mirrors; this GT3 RS had covered just 12,200 miles from new. Fresh from a major service at Porsche Centre Swindon, it found a winning bid of £145,000.
Two weeks later, a near delivery-mileage example of the sensational 991.2 GT3 RS was offered for sale. Finished in eye-popping Lizard Green, it remained under extended warranty cover, and had full service history despite just 466 miles on the odometer. It was sold for a hammer price of £175,500.
Rounding off the thrilling trio was a well-presented 993 Carrera RS – one of just 1,104 delivered worldwide, and one of just 49 UK cars. Presented in rare Speed Yellow, it had just 33,580 miles on the odometer, and had been with the seller for more than 17 years. Spirited bidding meant the car sold for an impressive £280,000.
The Collecting Cars platform now has more than 120,000 registered members covering six continents, has sold more than 13,000 lots, and has generated in excess of £500 million for its sellers.
PCGB members are reimbursed for photography costs if their car sells, so it is the ideal platform to market a special 911. Visit the Collecting Cars website to find out more about getting a great result at auction.
