We’re excited to announce our first special guests for A Porsche Christmas, with Le Mans legend Richard Attwood and rising star rookie Gus Burton set to join us at the Warwickshire Event Centre, near Royal Leamington Spa on Sunday, 3 December.
Having raced in sports cars and Formula 1 during the second half of the 1960s, Richard Attwood joined the Porsche factory team in 1969 and helped to develop the fearsome 917. In 1970, he took victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours alongside Hans Herrmann in a 917K – the first of Porsche’s 19 overall wins at La Sarthe.
At just 20 years old, Gus has already enjoyed seven seasons of competitive car racing. In the past three years alone he’s been crowned Vice-Champion in Ginetta GT4 Supercup; for which he was awarded the honour of being a BRDC “Rising Star”, won the British GT4 Championship in his maiden year of entry and was the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Rookie Champion. In 2023 he graduated to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with Swiss team Fach Auto Tech, but made a few Carrera Cup appearances, enjoying victories at Knockhill and Silverstone.
Both drivers will be appearing on our live stage for a relaxed interview with esteemed motoring journalist Alan Hyde. In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing the names of more big names from the world of Porsche who will be taking part in Q&As throughout the day.
Also joining us, and taking time out of his busy schedule, will be Santa himself. Families heading to Porsche Club Christmas will be able to take part in a special Santa ‘meet and greet’ session at regular intervals throughout the day. Plus, they’ll have the chance to hand deliver their Christmas letters to Santa. This free session will give kids (of all ages) the opportunity to get on board Santa’s wheelchair friendly sleigh for a picture with the big man!
After several highly successful events at Bicester Heritage we are moving our annual Porsche Christmas extravaganza to a dedicated and flexible venue in the heart of England. While the event will be taking place at a new location, we’ll still be providing the same festive-themed event that our members have come to love.
One of the greatest benefits of the Warwickshire Event Centre is that our displays and trade stands will be indoors. With exclusive use of the entire venue, we’ll be taking over both exhibition halls, which you’ll be pleased to learn will be heated!
Inside you’ll find a special 60th anniversary display of the Porsche 911, as well as motor racing legends and rare models from Porsche’s illustrious 75-year history. Outside there’s a dedicated Porsche parking area for 2,000 Porsches, so for those hardy enough to brave the cold, there’ll be plenty to admire!
Tickets are priced at £25 per person, with Club members able to enjoy a £7 discount on their tickets. To take advantage of this offer, you must be logged into your account prior to making your purchase.
