Anniversary display plans for Classics at the Castle

Extra special 75th anniversary displays planned for Classics at the Castle this September

Nearly 20 years since the first Classics at the Castle was held, and thanks to the continuing support of fans of the ‘orange bar shield’, the now-well-established event celebrating Porsche production and competition model types from the marque’s KG period will take place on 17 September at Hedingham Castle in Essex.

This year, the focus will be on the 75th anniversary of Porsche, with a special presentation of 75 production model types facing the keep tower, ranging from the 356 to the Carrera RS. With its magical backdrop, this will be a vehicle display not to be missed!

Classics at the Castle has presented some very special cars over the years and to draw the crowds this year, the event organisers have been promised and expect to show an early 911 associated with Steve McQueen during the production of the film Le Mans in a unique scenario.

Finally, this year the picket fencing will be back to once again enable a crowd-pleasing ‘slow parade’ down the driveway of 15 cars which will be selected from the top-level line-ups.

Tickets, which must be purchased in advance, cost £30, which includes entry for a vehicle and driver. Additional passenger tickets are priced at £5 per person. Be sure to login to your Club account before purchasing your tickets to take advantage of a £5 discount for Club members.
