Porsche Club GB and motorsport mourns the loss of Henry Hope-Frost

Henry Hope-Frost, a great friend of Porsche Club and one of the most respected motorsport broadcasters of his generation, tragically lost his life yesterday. In the recent past, Henry oversaw Porsche Club events with Jacky Ickx, Derek Bell, Brian Redman and Magnus Walker, as well as forming part of our National Concours at Ragley Hall last year. It didn’t matter if you’d just won Le Mans or purchased your first Porsche, the warmth of Henry’s greeting was consistent and authentic.

Words cannot express the sadness felt by the Clubhouse team and Board of Directors on hearing of Henry’s passing. All of our love, thoughts and prayers are being sent to Henry’s wife Charlotte and his three beautiful sons. His enthusiasm, encyclopaedic knowledge and passion for motorsport were an inspiration to us all.

Ultimately the Club is all about enjoyment; helping you get the very best out of your Porsche and, as Henry proved to us all, feverish enthusiasm can take you as far as you want to go. So as the warmer weather arrives let’s whole-heartedly embrace Porsche’s 70th and make it a year to remember.

Rest in peace Henry. We’ll miss you lots.
