Porsche Club Championship - Results
Race One
Reigning Champion Jake McAleer headed up the Porche Club Motorsport Championship field for race one, taking pole position on his first outing in a new car. He made a good start and led them away, Oliver Chatham another to make a great start from the outside of row two, only to slide wide at the first corner.
Jake McAleer’s RVR UK Racing 997 C2S led at the end of lap one, and Jim Bryan’s 997 second but with the Coneysport Cayman S of Ed Hayes right with him. A lap later Hayes was into second and chasing down Jake McAleer.
The race changed on lap five when a mistake from Jake McAleer saw him forced to retire, Hayes now with a good lead, Bryan in his Autofarm 997 second. Behind the lead pair Richard Bayston headed a train of cars, Steve Wood getting past in his Autofarm 996 and heading off after Bryan.
Hayes stayed well clear to take his first outright win in the series, Wood passing Bryan for second on lap six but having to settle for second with Bryan making a strong start to the season in third. The great battle behind finally went to the Strasse-run 997 C2S of Pete Morris, Bayston taking fifth.
“I was chasing Jake and he went out, and I was on my own then!” said Hayes. “Really chuffed to take the win, this car is as sweet as a nut with loads of pace. I’ve won races elsewhere but my first outright Porsche Club win.”
I was catching Jim and got past him, but I could see Ed in the distance, and I thought ‘I’m not going to catch him’ so backed off,” said Wood. “This is my first time out in this car and really enjoyed that race.”
“I couldn’t keep up with Ed and Steve but great to stay clear of the rest, big thanks to my team!” said Bryan. “Then I cooled it off towards the end as they had too much pace and I couldn’t see anyone behind. Looking forward to the season ahead now.”
Newcomer Kyle Wells showed his pace immediately to lead away the Porsche Club Motorsport AM Championship with Pirelli pack, coming round in his CCR Boxster S at the end of lap one with two championship category cars between himself and closest rival Barrington Darcy. Wells had great pace and even when the more powerful club cars had got past Darcy could hold the gap but not close on the leader.
The battle for third was fierce, Andreas Georgiou running third in the early stages in his Bradley Performance Boxster, before slipping behind CCR’s Charlie Dye and Faye Noble-Eavans in her Supatune Boxster. At the front Wells was again with club cars around him, Darcy around five seconds back.
Wells stayed clear to claim his first win on his debut at the end of the 14-laps, Darcy second and Dye delighted to take this first podium in third. Noble-Evans claimed fourth, with Georgiou next after was what a good battle for those positions
“I managed a good first lap, I could have stayed with the class one cars for a bit longer, but I wanted to be sure I was saving the tyres.” said Wells. “Pleased with the race, nice and clean and a good race – first round, first win!”
“That was an awesome race,” said Darcy. “The car feels really good and I was amongst the class one cars for the first time ever, this is going to be a good year and I’m excited for race two!”
“I didn’t make a great start but managed to get some places back,” said Dye. “Once I knew I was in third I started making a few mistakes but I held it together – it’s my first podium so I am really buzzing!”
Race Two
Jake McAleer was again on pole and quickest of the Porche Club Motorsport Championship runners in his re-fettled 997, Hayes alongside but slow away and it was Bryan ahead at the end of lap one, Jake McAleer second and Chatham in third. Jake McAleer took the lead down the inside at Coppice corner on lap two, Bryan now under pressure from Chatham.
As Jake McAleeer eased away at the front, Morris closed on Chatham to make it a three-car battle for second, while Bayston ran fifth with another four cars right with him. Chatham was into second on lap five but with a big gap to the leader, Morris finding a way past Bryan two laps later with Mark McAleer now up to fifth and closing on the cars ahead.
Jake McAleer claimed his first win of the season to make up for the disappointment of race one, Chatham taking his first overall podium finish in second. Behind, there was a great battle in the final laps, Mark McAleer just clear of Morris at the chequer flag, Wood claiming fifth - the trio covered by just a quarter of a second.
“People talk about the highs and lows of motorsport and we had it this weekend,” said Jake McAleer. “I hadn’t driven a lap in the car before this weekend and we had to change the engine last night, then I make a mistake and threw it away in race one. So pleased I could deliver for the boys this afternoon – great to repay them for race one with a win!”
“Race one I really messed up the first corner, my ambition outweighed my talent!” said Chatham. “I tried to chase Jake but he was so quick I had to settle for second, but I think it is going to be a really good season ahead.”
“What fantastic race that was, just how racing should be, door-to-door, bumper-to-bumper and I really enjoyed it,” said Mark McAleer. “It was so close at the line and I wasn’t quite sure I could make it going through the final corner but we just pulled it off.”
In the Porsche Club Motorsport AM Championship with Pirelli field, Wells again made a strong start, coming round at the end of lap one tenth overall with three cars between himself and Darcy. As before there was a battle for third Georgiou again holding the position early on but soon under pressure from Dye and Noble-Evans.
Wells once more had the pace to keep Darcy far enough back to not be a threat, while behind Dye was into third by lap nine, still with Georgiou and Noble-Evans in close attendance. Dye was slow out the chicane on lap ten and just managed to hold third, the lead pair well clear of that battle.
It was a perfect start to the season for Wells as he took his second win of the day, Darcy in second. Dye took his second podium as this time Georgiou held onto fourth, Noble-Evans slipping back right at the end, Williams claiming fifth.
“It was the same sort of race as the first one,” said Wells. “I got through the pack and had some cars between me and the rest of the field, then was able to keep a good pace and had a clear track. A good race weekend, two poles, two fastest laps, two wins – maximum points!”
“I need to find some more pace, I had a great start but he was on the inside and I dropped back a few spots,” said Darcy. “It was a tidy race so I’m not unhappy, I just need to get faster.”

Dramatic Snetterton sees Two Double and Two First Time Winners!
Snetterton circuit in Norfolk hosted rounds three and four of Porsche Club Motorsport’s race championships and it was a dramatic day with reigning champion Jake McAleer taking both Porsche Club Motorsport Championship with Pirelli wins, the first in the most unlikely manner. Charlie Dye took his first Porsche Club Motorsport AM Championship with Pirelli win in race one while Steve Clark took his, and his team’s first win in race two.
In the Porsche Club Motorsport Boxster Cup Ethan Hall continued to dominate taking another two wins to make it four from four, while Luca Masarati and Kuba Wozniak claimed the other podium places.

Race One
Race one was eventful, front row starter Jake McAleer stopping on the green flag lap in his 997 resulting in a delayed start as his car was recovered back to the paddock. When the race started there were two first lap incidents, one with two cars off with heavy damage at Agostini causing the race to be stopped, both drivers unhurt. Crucially for Jake McAleer he had rejoined the race just before the red flag meaning he was back on the front row for the restart set for 12-minutes duration using the original grid.
It was a rolling start behind the safety car and poleman Ed Hayes led in his Parr Motorsport Cayman S, Jake McAleer second with the 996 of Steve Wood third from Oliver Chatham and Jonathan Evans. Jake McAleer was putting Hayes under pressure, and that paid off on lap four when Hayes went wide at the final corner and slipped to second.
Jake McAleer stayed clear to take an unlikely second win of the season, having at one point been running through the paddock while the field was on a green flag lap to get his crew back to the car and get him back into the race. Hayes stayed clear of Wood to take second, Chatham claiming fourth from Evans and Pete Morris in sixth.
“I got away from the line on the first start but knew something was wrong,” said Jake McAleer. “The front left had locked up, I had to be an optimist and hope the team could get it going, then I had some good luck when the race got restarted. In the race I managed to pull back towards Ed then he made a mistake and I got the lead.”
“I saw Jake was going to try to go down the inside and that was enough of a distraction for me to fluff a gear and go wide,” explained Hayes. “I got away well in the first race, then when we restarted behind the safety car I backed the field up and went early which worked perfectly.”
“The car felt great in the first race, but it didn’t feel as sharp in the second race for some reason,“ said Wood. “Ed and Jake had some real pace, I’m going to have to find more.”
Kyle Wells had taken an impressive Porsche Club Motorsport AM Championship pole in his CCR Boxster S, but the double race winner from the opening round was one of the cars caught up in the incident at the first start and was out for the weekend. From the restart it was Charlie Dye who headed the AM field, soon under pressure from Barrington Darcy and Steve Clark, the latter in the 96 car at the last minute for his first race at Snetterton in several years.
Clark got past Darcy on lap three through Hamilton, the gaps between the battling trio fluctuating around the lengthy Snetterton lap. With the race ended after six laps it was still Dye ahead, taking his first AM Championship win, Wood second with Darcy rounding off the podium.
“I’m sad we had that big incident at the start, but I’m buzzing to have won,” said Dye. “The final laps were intense, I had to defend so much, and it felt like my longest race ever!”
“That was a frenetic battle and a lot of fun,” said Darcy. “I lost my ABS but managed to stay in the mix, now have to see what the next race brings.”
“It’s six years since I have driven round here and I only stepped this morning in after the usual driver couldn’t make it,” said Clark. “That was really good fun though.”
Race Two
The second race of the afternoon was also eventful, an incident on lap two seeing the safety car out and leading the field round, and the race being ended behind the safety car after six laps. That meant the start was crucial, and off the line it was Jake McAleer who made the best start in the Porsche Club Championship field, heading Hayes, Wood coming round third at the end of lap one, having survived some contact that saw cars out of shape on the run down to the first corner.
That effectively settled the order for the race, Jake McAleer taking his third win in the first four races, a strong defence of his 2025 championship title. Hayes had to settle for second from Wood, Chris Dyer bringing his Strasse Cayman home fourth after Bill Caley retired his Cayman.
“I made it round the green flag lap this time which was an improvement!” said Jake McAleer. “The car felt good and I got a great launch, I was comfortable at the end of lap one so a big shame the race got cut short – if you are going to have a race with just two racing laps you might as well win it!”
“I got a bad start and that was it pretty much all over!” said Hayes. “It’s been a strange day.”
“I’ll take third,” said Wood. “It was busy on the run down to the first corner, the felt better so I would have liked more laps, but an enjoyable weekend.”
Similarly, in the AM championship a strong start for Clark saw him leading the category at the end of the opening lap from Dye. Darcy was caught out by coolant down on the circuit and went off on lap two, and when the safety car emerged it froze the order, Steve Willams running third behind Dye.
Clark thus took the win, a first AM championship win for Bradley Performance, Dye continuing his strong start to the season with second while Williams claimed his first top three finish.
“Delighted to take the win, I’m hoping regular driver Andreas Georgiou will be happy, I’m even wearing his race suit!” said Clark. “Over the moon to take the first win for Bradley Performance, I made a good start and kept it on the track!”
“I didn’t get away well but the race was fun even though it got cut short,” said Dye. “The car is in one piece and we have some good results, so a great weekend.”
“I think it was a day of attrition,” said Williams. “I managed to stay on the track so happy to take third place.”

Race One
From the outside of the front row Jake McAleer made a good start in his RVR Racing 997 to take the lead while an even better start from Pete Morris saw him sweep round the outside of several cars at the first corner and claim second, poleman Ed Hayes slotting in behind in his Cayman to take third. The field was met by the safety car at the end of the first lap with a car off at Island corner, racing starting again as they headed into lap four.
McAleer pushed hard on the restart to open a slight gap, Hayes past Morris at Knickerbrook on the first lap of resumed racing and set about closing in on the leader. They were together by lap nine and from then on Jake McAleer had to work hard to hold off the Parr Motorsport Cayman, just staying clear at the end of the 12 laps.
Morris took his first podium of 2026 in his Strasse-run 997, while Mark McAleer was fourth, Jonathan Evans taking fifth after Steve Wood had retired from that position with gearbox issues.
"I think Ed was definitely quicker than me,” said Jake McAleer, "but sometimes it is rewarding to take the win when you know you are not the fastest car and it felt like that today. The car felt great, I had a few moments at times but pleased to take the win!”
In the Porsche Club Motorsport AM Championship battle, series returnee Andrew Porter was the early leader, only to be sidelined with a driveshaft problem right after the safety car pulled in. That put Barrington Darcy in the category lead in his Stand2 Boxster, Stuart Marston and Faye Noble Evans next up with Charlie Dye in fourth.
Marston got past Darcy for the class lead on lap five, and Dye got past Noble-Evans for third through Island corner on lap eight, the lead four closely matched. It was all change on lap ten, Marston spinning down to third, as later in the lap Dye got past Darcy for the lead, which he held to take his second win of the season, Darcy second from Marston and Noble-Evans.
“I made a terrible start,” said Dye, “I had to pick my moments, especially on such a tight circuit, such a hot race, it was like a sauna in the car.”
Race Two
The first start of the race was red flagged almost immediately with a number of cars caught up in an incident on the run down to the first corner, all drivers ok but a few gaps on the grid for the restart. Hayes got a good getaway and led from Jake McAleer, whilst behind Mark McAleer and Morris were side-by-side down Cascades, Morris claiming third, Mark McAleer losing momentum and the Cayman of Chris Dyer going past.
Jake McAleer went all the way round the outside of the Shell hairpin to take the lead from Hayes on lap two, as behind Morris was defending from Dyer and Mark McAleer. On lap four Mark McAleer slowed and pulled off exiting Knickerbrook, his race over, while a lap later Hayes missed the chicane at the same part of the track and retired to the pits with brake issues.
That left Jake McAleer well clear at the front and the reigning champion duly took his fifth win of the season. The battle between Strasse teammates Morris and Dyer was lively, Morris holding on to take his second podium of the day.
“That was a tricky race, feels like so much happened in it,” said Jake McAleer. “I made a great start the first time of asking, thought I was settling in for a good race and we had the red flag. Didn’t get away so well at the restart but I know if I had any chance against Ed it had to be in the first couple of laps, really proud of the overtake.”
Darcy took the early lead in the AM Championship race, Porter second from Brian Rchardsson, who had Noble-Evans right with him, while Dye was charging up the order after a pitlane start. Darcy and Porter were both pushing hard, setting new personal fastest race laps on lap five, while by lap seven Dye was up to fourth and putting pressure on Noble-Evans.
In the final laps Darcy managed to just open a gap and took his maiden AM category win, Porter a fine second on his return. Dye’s climb up the order was rewarded with third at the end, Noble-Evans taking fourth.
“I’ve come second, third but never won one of these before,” said Darcy. “I thought I had it in race one, but had to work so hard. We’ve battled the car a bit today but have pulled it all together to take the win.”
