Porsche Club Race Championships - Donington Park Preview

Points Now Key in all Three Porsche Club Motorsport Championships

Donington Park hosts the penultimate meeting of the 2026 season for all three of Porsche Club Motorsport’s race series on Saturday 26th of September, and the day’s results could prove pivotal for the title ambitions of all the racers. The best twelve scores from the 14-race season count, and with just the Snetterton season finale on October 10th to come after Donington, every point is now precious.

The Porsche Club Motorsport Club Championship with Pirelli has seen a fine streak of form from reigning champion Jake McAleer (centre in photo above), who has won very race bar the opening one of the season to claim nine victories in total and head the points table with four races remaining. His only non-finish came on the Donington Grand Prix circuit back in April and he will be keen to avoid the same fate and continue winning in his 997 C2S.

Ed Hayes (right in photo above) has been pushing Jake McAleer hard in his Cayman S with six second place finishes and took the win at Donington at the season opener so will be a factor in both races. Chris Dyer has been a podium visitor in his Cayman and sits third in the championship points after the first ten races, while former champions Pete Morris and Mark McAleer have gone well before at Donington in their 997s.

Charlie Dye (car 96 above) heads the points in the Porsche Club Motorsport AM Championship with Pirelli, having taken his first ever race win at Snetterton in May and then gone on to also take victories at Oulton Park and Silverstone. His advantage over Baz Darcy (car 27 above) becomes way more slender if you factor in dropped scores and Darcy is also a race winner, so both will be out to score big at Donnington.

While Dye and Darcy have a clear advantage in the points after consistent seasons, the action has been close in the AM Championship. Faye Noble-Evans took her debut series win at Anglesey in July and a podium finish last time out at Silverstone in her Boxster, while Steve Williams and Steve Clark have also both won races.

In the Porsche Club Motorsport Boxster Cup Ethan Hall (right in photo above) has been the man to beat, taking eight wins from ten races and heading the points table. Pushing him hard have been another two drivers in their first season in the series, Luca Masarati (centre in photo avove) and Kuba Wozniak (left in photo above) both also race winners and the battle between the trio will be a highlight of Donington.

Four podiums prove that Brendan Haffner has been pushing the youngsters hard and he took a second place at Donington in April so will go quickly on this visit. Brooklyn Howell is another newcomer and has got quicker as the season has gone on, it will be interesting to see how he goes on visiting a circuit for the second time.

As ever each championship will have two 25-minute races, the Porsche Club Championship and Porsche Club Am Championships fields sharing he same grids while the Boxters race solo.

All the trophies at the Donington Park round are sponsored by PMC Midlands.
