Championship & AM Championahip
The annual visits to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit is a highlight of the Porsche Club Motorsport Club Championship with Pirelli and Porsche Club Motorsport AM Championship with Pirelli seasons. With six races left the points battle in both championships is tight, so the races not only give the Porsches a chance to stretch their legs round the long lap but also could prove pivotal in the fortunes of all the title contenders.
Jake McAleer heads the Porsche Club Motorsport Club Championship with Pirelli on total points scored, drivers count their best 12-scores from the 14-races come season’s end, with four race wins under his belt. Simon Clark sits second, behind on total points but much closer if dropped scores are already factored in having missed two races earlier in the season, and on a roll having won three of the previous four races.
Heading the points until last month’s outing at Oulton Park was Mark McAleer, only to be side-lined by a mechanical issue, and he will be keen to score points and put his title charge back on track. First non-997 is the Cayman of Chris Dyer who sits fourth in the championship table, Pete Morris and Jim Bryan tied on points and close behind.
A win at Oulton Park helped put Andrew Porter top of the Porsche Club Motorsport Club AM Championship with Pirelli standings on total points, though Wayne Gregory and Darren Labbett are not only teammates but also joint second in the table and close behind. The Boxster is the car of choice in the class, Jason Brown and Tom Andrew next up in the points while Shiraz Khan took his first ever race win at Silverstone in April and backed that up with two more wins at Brands Hatch in May.
Steve Williams is another driver who should be in the mix at Silverstone, along with Brian Richardson, while former Boxster Cup racer Jess Wilkinson is entered. Timothy Harrington and Andreas Georgiou line up alongside Wilkinson in the Bradely Performance line up for the two 25-minute races.
All cars run to a strictly policed minimum weight and on Pirelli slick tyres, The Club Championship cars have to do qualifying and two races on a single set of tyres, the AM Championship cars two qualifying sessions and four races. A wet weather tyre is available if conditions require it, and it all adds up to close exciting racing and a great season that only finishes in early October.

The Porsche Club Championship is for road going Porsche models converted to racing. Models are balanced within the classes by power-to-weight ratio with varying minimum weights, which may be changed during the season if required. Both classes run on Pirelli slick tyres, with a wet-weather tyre for rain affected races.
Boxster Cup
The Porsche Club Motorsport Boxster Cup takes on the challenge of the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit with the high standard of racing displayed so far in 2025 sure to continue. Intended as a route into motorsport for newcomers as well as a home for some series regulars who enjoy not only the race action but also the camaraderie and paddock atmosphere the Boxster Cup has become a popular choice for drivers for of all levels.
Mike Thompson heads the point stable on total points scored and has one win to his name with a victory at Anglesey in May but has been under pressure in recent rounds. Max Watt is new to the Boxsters this season but has won three of the previous four races including both wins last month at Oulton Park, while Bertie Bream is another newcomer who stormed through the field in race two at Oulton Park to get on the podium having started at the back of the grid and has two wins so far this season.
Consistent finishing has seen series regular Perry Darling sitting fourth in points, drivers dropping two scores at the end of the season, and he has gone well at Silverstone before. Baz Darcy has been a podium visitor this season and was on the pace at Oulton Park in a different Boxster having damaged his own car at Brands Hatch in May.
The packed entry list ensures some great battles all the way down the field, so watch out for drivers such as Ben Grewcock and Faye Noble-Evans battling in the top ten, while Matt Gough is out in the Boxster he shares with Tom Hale and claimed both poles on the shorter Silverstone layout in April. With so many other drivers showing the potential to score a good points haul over the Silverstone raceday it should be two great races.
Tyres are key in the Boxster Cup with competitors limited to just two sets of treaded Pirelli tyres for the season to control costs. The series is positioned as an entry route into circuit racing and has seen many rookies make their race debuts, and while some have gone on to bigger things many have stayed on for more of the close and affordable racing the series can offer. Drivers count their best 12-scores over the season, and while that offers some safety net over the 14-race season, every point is precious, so things are hard-fought from the very first race.

The Boxster Cup sees drivers in identical 3.2 lite Porsche Boxster S cars prepared for racing. They run on treaded Pirelli tyres, with controls over tyre usage etc. to provide a relatively affordable route into motorsport as well as a home for the more experienced racer who enjoys the close racing on offer.
