2025 Season Starting Soon!!

First Round April 19th at Silverstone National!

Club and AM Championships

The Silverstone National Circuit hosts the opening rounds of the Porsche Club Motorsport Championship and Porsche Club Motorsport AM championship, and the healthy grid features returning champions, rapid regulars and some welcome new faces. With rounds one and two on Saturday April 19th, the calendar sees drivers take on the challenge of a 14-race season visiting a host of circuits – all coming to a head at Snetterton in early October when we will know the champions for both categories.

Simon Clark topped the Porsche Club Motorsport Championship table at the end of the 2024 season having taken seven wins to claim his second outright win and he is back in his FormEvo Clark Racing 997 C2S. Pete Morris and Mark McAleer are also former double champions so the race is on for the first ever triple champion, and all three will be pushing hard from round one.

Right in the title mix last season was Jake McAleer, son of Mark, who won three times last year and is another 997 runner, with Jim Bryan another out in the 997. The earlier 996 model is quick in the hands of Pete Evans and Richard Bayston. It isn’t all 911 variants, Chris Dyer and David Burke are out in Caymans, Dyer in the latest version permitted in the series and on the podium at the final meeting of 2024.

The Porsche Club Motorsport AM championship is packed with rapid Boxsters, last year’s champion Darren Labbett returning to chase the silverware once more, and joined by team-mate Wayne Gregory, last year’s Porsche Club Motorsport Boxster Cup champion. Andrew Porter and Oliver Chatham were both race winners last season, as was Jason Brown on his first season in the series.

Shiraz Khan claimed his first podium at Donington Park last year, just losing out to race winner Porter by inches, while Brian Richardson is another welcome returnee. A clutch of newcomers make sure it will be an entertaining season as they aim to get amongst the regulars and show their pace, some having their first taste of racing on slick tyres

All cars run to a strictly policed minimum weight and on Pirelli slick tyres, The Club Championship cars have to do qualifying and two races on a single set of tyres, the AM Championship cars two qualifying sessions and four races. A wet weather tyre is available if conditions require it, and it all adds up to close exciting racing and a great season ahead.

Boxster Cup
The Porsche Club Motorsport Boxster Cup returns for another busy season with the closely matched cars and a bulging entry list sure to provide the great racing the series has become known for. Intended as a route into motorsport for newcomers as well as a home for some series regulars who enjoy not only the race action but also the camaraderie and paddock atmosphere the Boxster Cup has become a popular choice for drivers for of all levels.

Several race winners from 2024 are back for more, headed by Mike Thompson who has been championship runner up more than once and a benchmark for any new racer. Perry Darling claimed two wins last season and will be on the pace right away, while Graham Heard took his maiden series win at Brands Hatch last May and Scott Evans did the same at Snetterton in October.

Ben Grewcock was a podium finisher last year in his Porsche Centre Bournemouth Boxster,  while Faye Noble-Evans has been a front runner for several seasons and is keen to follow in the footsteps of husband Pete Evans who is a former champion. Barrington Darcy was a newcomer at the start of last season but showed pace and was running high in the top ten by season’s end and claimed fastest race lap at Donington Park in September.

Eric Bridges and Matt Gough are two returning racers who run their Boxsters wearing classic Porsche liveries, a feature of the championship in its first few seasons. Several more drivers are returning for another season of Boxster Cup action, and having gained vital experience in 2024 will be looking for results from round one.
A broad swathe of newcomers have entered, ranging from teenagers with race experience to drivers taking on a new challenge much later in life. All will find the Boxster Cup not only a challenge that will see them enhance their driving and race skills, but a also a great environment to go racing!

Tyres are key in the Boxster Cup with competitors limited to just two sets of treaded Pirelli tyres for the season to control costs. The series is positioned as an entry route into circuit racing and has seen many rookies make their race debuts, and while some have gone on to bigger things many have stayed on for more of the close and affordable racing the series can offer. Drivers count their best 12-scores over the season, and while that offers some safety net over the 14-race season, every point is precious so things will be hard-fought from the very first race
