Porsche Club Factory & Museum Visits
The latest update on Club organised factory tours can be read here
Porsche Club GB has been running official Porsche Factory and Museum visits for more than 30 years; today we regularly organise two or three bespoke tours per year normally at least one to Stuttgart (Taycan and Sports cars) and another to Leipzig (Macan and Panamera) where there are on- and off-road tracks that we drive with instructors. We enjoy VIP treatment at both facilities.
The Stuttgart Factory visit in Zuffenhausen will feature the new Taycan assembly plant as well as the traditional petrol engine and sports car builds.
Along the way we explore Germany and Austria visiting sites of Porsche interest and to introduce members to the delights of these countries and their great roads. Visits are usually composed of 30-40 members and partners and are sociable and fun.
Owing to the current restrictions the September Leipzig visit is cancelled for this year.
If the right conditions can be created within the Covid-19 restrictions it is hoped to have a visit to Stuttgart and Hockenheim from 27- 30September.
Home to more than 80 vehicles and 23,000 horsepower the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhuasen, Stuttgart charts the history of Porsche from the early technical advancements of Professor Ferdinand Porsche through to the latest Le Mans winning race cars.
Displays are constantly evolving and the museum is famous for its special themed exhibitions which has previously included 40 years of the transaxle, the 911 (901 no.57) and most recently 70 years of Porsche Sportscars.
Club members enjoy half price admission to the Porsche Museum upon display of a valid membership card. Groups of up to 25 can also pre-book a 60 minute guided tour of the museum to help you get the most out of your visit. The museum is closed on Mondays – open Tuesday through Sunday 9.00am to 6pm.
Individual Zuffenhausen Factory Tours
It is possible to organise personal tours by emailing email@example.com
. They run from Monday to Friday, but remember the Museum is closed on Mondays if you wish to do both on the same day. For Porsche Club members, Factory tours start from just 6 euros with a valid membership card.

Richard Watling - Factory Visit Organiser
I plan and run the Factory Visit programme taking groups of anything up to 40 people each time to Stuttgart and Leipzig most years. These are opportunities to explore Germany and its fabulous roads as well as to see the factories and museums, so we often stop off at places important to Porsche history and motorsport especially in Austria Germany Belgium and sometimes the Czech Republic.
I am a lifelong enthusiast, involved with the marque through the race team since 1981, a Club member since 1997, the factory visit organiser since 2005 and was the Commercial Director for 5 years to 2018 using my background in international marketing. I try to bring the Porsche world to life through my many contacts, and by sharing my enthusiasm for exploring new places to enjoy these fantastic cars and the community of friends that they create.
