At Porsche Club GB, we’re here to help you get the very best out of your Porsche ownership. Whether you’re looking to book your very first trackday and want some advice for preparing your Porsche, or are applying for your race licence to start competing, we can guide you through the process.
For more than 30 years the Porsche Club has been organising motorsport championships for its members. In this period the Club has successfully built the foundations of Porsche Club racing and provided an opportunity where Club members can progress from driving their road going Porsche on a track, to competing in the Carrera Cup with Porsche Cars GB.
Our professionally-organised trackdays and Championships make use of some of the UK’s most notable circuits, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Goodwood, with more than 50 events taking place every year.
While the Club's highly respected championships are always closely fought and very competitive, they are also intended to be fun. With that in mind, we try to create a friendly and social environment that will reward you at whatever level of competition you get involved with.

Porsche Club GB Race Championship
The Porsche Club Championship is perfect for those seeking true track competition. The racing is close and competitive but always in a friendly atmosphere. The Championship has been running for the past 14 years and holds seven, double header meetings at some of the UK’s most prestigious circuits, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Oulton Park.
The Championship is open to competitors in recent production model Porsches, using standard engines, suspension units and gearboxes, based on a power to weight formula to allow for competitive racing between model types.
The Championship is supported by a number of race car preparers and motorsport specialists located all around the country. Preparers often have cars for sale or could build one for you. They are also able to offer a range of services, including tuition and trackside support.
Each race meeting consists of a 20-minute qualifying session and two 25-minute races, all filmed and televised on Motorsport.TV. Our mobile race centre attends every race meeting to provide lunch, refreshments and space for competitors to relax and recount stories from the race with one another.
Porsche Club Speed Championship
The Porsche Club Speed Championship is an ideal route into the world of motorsport, and less costly and pressurised than racing. For some drivers, the Porsche Club Speed Championship is a step-up from trackdays and a route into racing, while others enjoy mastering the hills and circuits over many seasons.
The Championship combines the disciplines of hillclimbs and sprints with competitors competing against the clock and against each other within their classes.
Competition, value for money and a good social atmosphere are some of the key features of the Speed Championship. The Championship runs over 12 rounds, split evenly between sprints and hillclimbs on a mix of purpose-built circuits, airfields, classic hillclimb venues and even the odd stately home.
The cars are divided into four classes, determined by horsepower, and allows entry for a standard road car or a lightly modified Porsche or, indeed a highly modified, specialised hill climbing car or circuit racer. This is a well-supported, competitive Championship which provides both close competition and the opportunity for a ‘toe in the water’ of the world of motorsport.
Porsche Club Hillclimb Championship
The Porsche Club National Hillclimb Championship is, as its name suggests, a championship focussed just on specialised hillclimb events. The championship is invited to be part of high-profile hillclimb meetings, but can still accommodate absolute novices, even with standard road cars.
Divided into two classes the Championship is largely intended for purpose built Hillclimb cars.
Class 1 is for the most powerful, or more modified cars and slick tyres are permitted, while Class 2 is intended for production type cars using road legal tyres.
Now in its fourth year, the championship sports a strong sense of camaraderie as well as a healthy dose of competitive rivalry.
Porsche Club Trackdays
Porsche Club track days are designed to allow you to explore the true capabilities of your Porsche without the restrictions of the public road. Our days are organised at approved race circuits in order that Porsche owners can drive their car in a safe, controlled environment.
The majority of our track days run using an open pit lane to maximise the time on track and reduce time spent waiting. All levels of experience are welcomed and instructors can be provided to enhance your track experience.
The Club has successfully run a programme of Porsche trackdays for the past 20 years. In that time we have organised approximately 350 days, offering almost 12,000 driver places. There is never any pressure to go faster, just to enjoy the experience.
