Stuart’s passion for driving and vehicle control has been with him for as long as he can remember, despite no obvious family influence. Instead, inspiration came from a local garage owner who raced a Hillman Imp in Special Saloons and took Stuart along to race meetings. The smell of Castrol R sealed his fate.
 
After saving for his first kart, Stuart’s motorsport career flourished, resulting in multiple major titles, including three British Championships and two World Cups. His desire to share knowledge led him to establish the Long Circuit Kart Racing School in 1981. Alongside this, he raced a wide variety of cars, from Formula Ford to Caterhams and endurance racing in 2CVs.
 
Over the past 20 years, Stuart has focused increasingly on road driver training, gaining extensive qualifications including ADI, Fleet, RoSPA and Lantra. He has worked with many of the world’s leading brands, from Porsche and Ferrari to Rolls-Royce, and looks forward to helping Porsche Club members enjoy driving to its fullest – safely and skilfully.
