Ben grew up surrounded by an eclectic mix of British engineering. Cars such as Gilberns and Triumphs were simply part of everyday life, and a grandfather who was a Trials and Scramble Champion helped spark a lifelong passion for motorsport and interesting machinery.
 
He began his motorsport career in karting before progressing into single-seaters and endurance sports cars, building a deep and enduring connection with the automotive world. Alongside racing, Ben earned a degree in Systems Engineering, reflecting his long-standing interest in technology and the performance, behaviour and optimisation of high-performance vehicles.
 
Through his work at Thruxton Race Circuit, Ben became involved in driver coaching for a range of manufacturers, leading to further qualifications and a successful career as Senior Driving Consultant for Porsche Cars Great Britain. Today, he works closely with private individuals, helping them develop their driving skills while increasing enjoyment, confidence and safety on both road and track.
