Macan Gen 2 - hybrid version or not?

I see from the June Macan newsletter that Mike Allen understands that the facelifted Macan due autumn 2018 will be available in e-hybrid form.

My PC (Nottingham) tells me that no e-hybrid Macan will be manufactured until the next version is launched in a few years (3/4?) time.

Anyone know for sure?

I seem to get conflicting stories when I ask this question. The one I'm going with at the moment is from an OPC who told me that no, they wouldn't be producing a hybrid version but would go straight to all-electric. That came from the guy who told me having attended a Porsche presentation to their staff and the reasoning behind it was overall emissions as a manufacturer. They are keen to carry on producing the sports car range for which they are famous and have a strong heritage and to do so would need other cars to be low or (theoretically) zero emissions. It makes sense therefore to choose a high volume model to create the balance they need but whether that is true I'll leave you to decide.
