As a very new Member & forum follower I would be interested in peoples views as to the way the topics & events are laid out in the forum area.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong but sometimes I click on an event that I think I would like to go to & then find that it is something that happened 4 or 5 years ago. I can see that it may be useful to look back but perhaps there should be an archive area to keep older information. Personally I would like to be able to run down a list of events dated 2018 which I have found but the forum area I find a bit jumbled up.
It is a great web site with lots of interesting information.

Hi, and welcome.

I use the Region tab at the top, this has all the upcoming events for a Region listed (mostly)as well as main PCGB events, themselves.

Hi Mark,
Yes thanks for that, I think I am slowly finding my way around & found that clicking on the date first seems to be the best way.
I'm looking forward to the Beaulieu event to see what goes on. No doubt a lot of chatting!
Thanks for responding, Adrian

Adrian,
Are you referring to threads on these forums? - I think it's a case that some regions more than others create forum threads relating to events, other regions rely more on attendance at regional meetings to keep up to date on events.

Or are you referring to the 'Events' tab at the top of the page where you'll then need to select 'National Events', 'Club Events Calendar', or 'Bookable Events' to view forthcoming events?

Additionally in Porsche Post there is a 'Calendar What's on in 2018' page.

I must admit that I'm never that confident that I'm aware of all events taking place that might interest me. It helps if you have memorised all of the region numbers and their equivalent county names, especially if you're on a UK holiday and want to participate in a club event in that area.

Have you set your forum preferences to only show forums you're interested in? When you go to the Forums page if you point at the Forum tab you should see the option 'Latest posts' which will display posts made since you last visited, maybe that will be a way of avoiding old out of date threads?

Region 17 Southern and Region 26 Dorset will be representing the club at Beaulieu. Come and have a chat with me, might be able to offer some help or even demo if I have a phone signal. Look for PCGB banners and gazebo.
