Evening run & meeting with some of the guys & girls from R18 at Sally's Warwick Bridge, Carlisle CA4 8RN starts from 6pm-9pm.

As is often the case a lot of our members have a lot of work or family commitments during weekends, so we have decided to plan another short drive over to Cumbria on a week night if you fancy another excuse to just get out and drive whenever possible.

Meet at Hexham services NE46 4DL from around 5.45pm and leave at 6.00pm taking the route along the scenic Military road (B6318) to Gilsland and then following on to to Warwick Bridge. This will take approx 1 hour so we are aiming to get there for around 7.00pm, leaving plenty of time for a catch up over one of Sally's great cuppas and cake.

Please add to this thread if you would be interested in joining up for this.

We would also like to do something similar in the near future in the South of our Region, so if you have any ideas please drop me an email at r3@porscheclubgb.com with your suggestions.

I will come along for this if I am not working away, as I know I'm off to Liverpool the next morning but should have a few spare hours for a drive out.

Richard

Hi Greg

Gillian and I will join you for this run. The forecast looks good at the moment too so hope it stays like that.

Looking forward to it.

Hi All.

I have just been over the A69 and they are re-surfacing from the A1 to Ovington.

This bit is ok as I used the company Honda Civic to flick the loose chippings onto East bound.

However lt looks like they are set to do a bit more work tonight so maybe have some back Road fun or risk a stone chip.

A68 junction area is fine.

Civic is dreadful. 1.4L rice pudding. Can't pull. Etc etc.

Off to wash a 944 and see you all at Sally's.

Mark.

Unfortunately still stuck in the office....won't be getting over there any time soon.

Enjoy the drive, nice evening for it!

Great run out from Hexham ( thanks for the route Greg! ) good company and a great selection of cars , top night out !

Debs & Greg - Thanks for organising last night, really enjoyed the drive and the rather nice Austrian coffee cake at Sallys. The mud/cowshit spray is nicely cemented onto the car, I'll be chiseling it off sometime today! Cant make Saturday as we're in the Cotswolds but hope to come to the meeting at Teesside next week.

A good evening was had. Some old friends seen and some more new friends made. Top notch....

P.S I didn't arrive home till around 10.10pm and that was direct (well via McDonalds) Cant imagine what time some arrived home going back via Hartside/Alston. [:)]
