2007 Cayenne S headlight adjustment

Hi there, I'm looking for advice on adjusting the headlights of my Cayenne 957. It's getting pretty irritating being flashed by about half the cars coming towards me while driving in the dark, and I've been reading that this is a common problem with Cayennes. I've seen posts and articles online explaining how to adjust the headlight height and it looks very straightforward, but before I go ahead do it I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who's had the same problem and already been through the process with their car. Thanks in anticipation of your replies!

I don't know how to do it, but I guess you need to make sure that they are adjusted in line with the MOT regs.

Thanks for the advice - but the car had a new MOT when I got it, and has not long since sailed through its latest MOT with no problem. This is as reported online - it seems that a lot of modern cars have headlights that are perfectly legal but still dazzle a lot of oncoming drivers. I'd like to alleviate this somewhat by tweaking my beams down.

Not wanting to make an issue of it, but my point was that when you "tinker" to avoid dazzle, you need to make sure that you're still mot legal. A past mot test pass is not relevant.

Ah yes I'm sorry - I managed to miss the point you were actually making! And of course that's absolutely right, thanks.

i had the same problem on my panamera it turned out to be if you go into the headlight setting you switch them from standard to inverted which cures the problem

Hi Justin,
Unfortunately I'd need to own a more recent Cayenne for these options to be available...

But talking to some colleagues just now, two other 4x4 owners said they have exactly the same problem. One speculated it's due to the camber on narrow Island roads (I live on the Isle of Wight)... But the consensus was "Hey, it's just one of those things..."
