Hi All!
Just thought I'd introduce myself as a new member having enrolled in both this the Regional and the Boxster register!
I have a 987.1 2.7l (2005) Boxster which I bought @ 15 months ago and having already signed onto the forum at Boxa.net a while back I realised that it would be a great idea to become a member here!
The car itself now has a couple of fairly usual modifications which include a Carnewal GTS exhaust (a rare option Gert said!) and the Dynavin N6 head unit which I've found a joy to use!
Hoping to meet some of you soon whether at an event or at the Club and looking forward to gleaning more knowledge of this wonderful marque from the wise!!

Cheers for now
Rich

Maybe they're all at Llandudno for Porsches on the Prom?
Some regions are just not very active on the PCGB forums, and it looks like R16 is one of them. Welcome to the club anyway!

Hi Andrew!
I was kinda thinking the same myself tbh although I posted on Thursday! Many thanks for the welcome tho Andrew...Maybe I'll get the odd email or something re events and suchlike!

Cheers again

Rich

Sorry Rich,
Hi and welcome to Region 16.
There is no doubt that this forum has taken a big hit since Facebook and Twitter have grown and our region are not very active on here as are a lot of others, we do post information for members but as you have realised most people are just looking.
We also have a closed group Facebook page if you want to have a look at that,
Porsche Club GB Region 16 Gloucester

Hope to see you and your Boxster soon.
Regards Elaine and Stuart

Hi Elaine and Stuart!
No apologies necessary! I can fully understand the problem that exists with such a plethora of social media out there and it is what it is!
Boxa.net is another forum that I frequent and with the sheer amount of choice out there it's small wonder that somebody has to take the hit!
Thank you for your welcome and hope to meet you and others soon on an upcoming event perhaps.

Kind regards

Rich

Hello Rich

Welcome to PCGB. I am an R16 member and actively get involved in various events. Elaine and Stuart do a great job as RO's but I think is must be like herding cats for them sometimes trying to cater for such a diverse group. That's also the best bit - a completely mixed bunch from all ages, social groups and backgrounds. I didn't get along to the last meeting due to work commitments, maybe catch you next time. I have made sure to set the forum settings up to email me when R16 or Boxster register items come up. Everyone has their own interest and I'm sure you will find like minded people within PCGB. The comment from Stuart and Elaine is valid in a that a lot of people do seem to use facebook, however there are a good many (like myself) that don't use social media so do not despair. A carnewal exhaust suggests your car will sound good. Only one problem with buying a Porsche...it is habit forming....good habit though!

Cheers - Paul

Hi Paul!
Thank you for your message and the welcome within!
Joined a little too late to make myself available for the monthly meet but will endeavour to catch the next! Having joined Boxa.net a year or so back I have managed to attend a few events and am already booked for the Lyn Valley classic ( attended last year ) and Weymouth Porsches on the Prom in July which is new to me!

I'll hope to meet yourself and others soon!

Cheers for now

Rich
