Anyone got any idea why the new Cayennes do not have a towbar option on the Porsche configurator?

I would guess its delayed by "type approval" .. German Web site for the Hybrid has "Elektrisch ausklappbare Anhängezugvorrichtung. Hinweis: Frühestens verfügbar ab 06/2018" .. "Electrically fold-out towbar Note: Earliest available from 06/2018"

There are also no SportDesign Body kits on UK web site for the Hybrid

"Preparation for tow bar system" is a standard featuren the new Cayenne so should we expect to be able to retrospectively have one fitted?

in my experience .. never "expect" to be able to do the logical thing [;)]

The tow-bar option will not be available for ordering until June 2018, which as the factory is shutting down at the end of May it's really September/October for the earliest delivery.

If you use the UK configurator at the moment to spec a hybrid you get a "Due to an upcoming revision of specification, this model is not currently available for configuration as a new factory order. Please continue to use the Car Configurator to explore the model. For more information regarding availability please contact your preferred Porsche Centre." warning.
